Fortunately, I recorded both reunion shows (first run, with original commercials) on Beta Hi-Fi back in the day.

But it would still be nice to see them included (in better quality). Even though, like you say, they probably won't be due to licensing.

A number of William Dozier's papers are available and do reveal some hints on who was asked or offered a role or cameo on the series, or who was interested but never got to appear.   These names are confirmed.

1-Kirk Douglas.   Sent a letter saying he'd like to do a cameo but he was off to go to Mexico to do a film and couldn't.  (he added "don't tell my kids")

That must be 'The War Wagon' he's talking about.

I can remember seeing that Late Show reunion when it was originally on.

I just re-watched both Batman reunion shows. I hadn't watched them completely in over 20 years. Both were indeed from 1988.

Glad that I didn't edit out the original commercials. Lots of nostalgia there as well. For instance: Vincent Price doing a Tilex spot. And who can forget the infamous Yugo automobile!

I know she appeared earlier on the series, but I thought Deanna Lund would have made a great Poison Ivy. Take a look at her in the John Astin Riddler episodes.

Deanna Lun....oh, as in Land of the Giants?  Yep, I can see where you're going there, friend.   :D

I'd be very surprised if we hear anything further from Warner before ComiCon (especially as regards to specs/extras).

Got it. Here's hoping we hear something sooner.

I wish the set would be out in June or so. I'm sure its a fall or holiday release though?

I think we'll know before Comic Con.  Usually when Warner Home Video puts out a release, TVShowsonDVD.com puts out the press release four months in advance of the release date.  The prime dates for Christmas DVD releases is between September through November.  If you back track four months from September, that means there would be an announcement around May or June.  I think WHV will use Comic Con to promote the upcoming release and whet people's appetite with a preview of the remastering and maybe have a screening of the extras.  If WHV waits until Comic Con to make an announcement, they will be too late to get it out in time for the Christmas shopping season; that's my main point.  The announcement should come before Comic Con so that they can use the convention to hype it up big time.

That's a good point. Plus, Warner seems to have some 75th anniversary stuff planned for April-May, so maybe some news will pop up then.

I have a feeling it will be around May, after the Easter season.

I think that will have lots of extras. It should be an ultimate set. After all this time, how could they not do that?

As a purist who cringes when great TV series aren't restored to night-of-original-broadcast state, does anyone have any word on if the Greenway Productions-20th Century Fox logo at the end of each episode will be kept?

It's my understanding that it was on the original camera negatives, so I think it will be included.

The announcement for a release date announced in May after Easter?

I'm still guessing Comic-Con in San Diego, where they're really going to unveil a lot of great details, including the cover art, on this set.

Same here. Details will start to leak out just before they officially announce everything at Comic Con and then the release will be in the fall. That being said, I'd be happy to be wrong and see the set released in July and have Comic Con just be a promo for it.

A tiny tidbit of news: Burt Ward says he's in talks to provide commentary on all 120 episodes of the series with Adam West.

He also says he doesn't know, but suspects the set will be out for the holidays. And that there are negotiations afoot for an appearance at ComicCon.

If commentary on 120 episodes is just now in the talking stages, it's gonna be a while before this is released. And I mean a WHILE.
