What do you want to bet that this will be the next Samsung 3D Blu-ray exclusive title?

I was just finishing posting other press releases so I got

back in here late.  My IMMEDIATE reaction to seeing this

press release was....

WHERE IS THE 3D VERSION?

This film was released 3D theatrically.

Why would Paramount not make this available in 3D?

The answer could very well be in Adam's post above.

This is disturbing.  I was looking forward to owning this

title in 3D and now it looks like that won't happen.

I wish the studios would stop making their titles exclusive

to hardware purchases.  It isn't helping this format grow.

I agree completely. I would love to see a complete END to this exclusivity business. And a film like Megamind, which I am sure is a pleasant picture but I admit I haven't seen, doesn't seem likely to be THE movie that would generate many 3D-TV sales. Better to go the route of A Christmas Carol and just release it to all.

Looking through some CES pictures it looks like Samsung was demoing this at their booth in 3D, so I think that confirms that it is the next Samsung exclusive.

Already there.  the Sheck 4 pack with Megamind is $200.  Not bad when you consider there are 5 films, but too rich for my blood as I don't want the Shrek titles, just Megamind.

Ack! Of course, I've seen prices on some items that are now commercially available, and the sellers are asking ridiculous prices; and some people are paying!

An item is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it Posted Image.  Avatar was prices at close to $300 and it has come down to the $75-$80 range.  Hopefully Megamind will come down to the $40 after more of them hit the market.
