What a wonderful film!  I have the original one-sheet to it lying around in a box somewhere.  It's a joy to watch from beginning to end.

Really.  I wasn't even paying attention when it was released, and when I later popped in the DVD someone loaned me, I was blown away.  Ran right out and bought my own copy.  Whether you're into G&S in general, The Mikado in particular, or Victorian era theatrical production... you're in for a truly satisfying treat.

This is one of my favorite films and obviously a labor of love on Mike Leigh's part.  Do not miss it. Can't wait to see it in Blu-ray!!

...and I can't wait to hear it on BD. A gorgeous, truly wonderful, bitter sweet delight.
