Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain!
If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Thanks Mike! Target wins this week with 3D Despicable Me 3D for $29! (I also want a minion for Christmas). In addition I pity the foo' that gets between me and the A-Team on Blu-ray this week, and its nice to see the Duke on BD this week. True Grit will round out the week nicely.

The Black Pirate will have to wait for a BOGO.

Crappy release week, at least for me. Not a thing I'm remotely interested in buying either from the new releases or the catalogue stuff on BB.com. The Town and Despicable Me are both in the Netflix queue. Thanks for saving me some money, Mike!

(And yes, I am well aware you don't create the release schedule or sale prices. But I'd rather thank you for it than some marketing person in a cubicle...)

If anyone is considering the Ally McBeal series set, note that Fox has been selling this through a direct response TV offer for only $60:

Leave it to beaver season 5 week !! Mike, no picture for Leave it to beaver season 5, shame on you! Also, I have to ask you because Im curious. Are you not a fan of the 50-60s Dennis the menace tv show? Its in the works to be released next year, I figure its right up your alley, since you like Leave it to beaver.

If the True Grit Blu offered a free ticket to the remake, I'd pick it up now, but as-is, I'll wait for a price drop.

Hard to believe they've remade true grit, I'm interested when it hits around the $10 Price point, not too interested in seeing the remake.

Nah...not really. LitB was really a special show for me. (And I only include pix for TV shows for either season 1 or for the last season.) Dennis the menace didn't have the same charms for me. I liked Herbert Anderson as Henry Mitchell...but not nearly as much as High Billingsley as Ward Cleaver. Jay North was too much of a "wise guy" for me. And the rest of the cast was pretty forgettable except, maybe, for Mr. Wilson. I could never warm up to the relationship between Dennis and Mr. Wilson. It might be fun to revisit it...but it just doesn't mean the same to me as Beaver. But I certainly don't begrudge anyone else for whom it might be their favorite show.

Mike, you have some good points there. The main reason I like it is because, it was the first black and white situation comedy tv show I watched back in the early 80s. I didnt discover Leave it to beaver till around 1984 or so. Ive seen a few reruns of Dennis back in 2002, when I was still in the USA, when tv land channel showed it. It didnt hold up as well as the beaver, but still better than I thought it would hold up in my memory. I cant exactly remember now, but there are things in this show that actually date it more than the beaver, but thats part of its charm. Im in for this on day 1. Although I doubt it,I hope they give it a H-D quality like the beaver sets.

Picked up Underworld 3 on Blu and Casino Royale (spec. ed) on Blu for $9.95 each at Ultimate Electronics in Boulder CO. At the same price they also had Resident Evil 3 and several other good titles (which I already had).

For $8.95, they had Sixth Day, Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, Gattaca, and several others. But since those are often cheap titles (and the savings was therefore not as significant) I did not get them.

Yup to both. I think I'll be looking for both of these in the used bin eventually. TV shows like 24 always end up there.

Buzzzzz! I'm not sure if you have Fred Meyer stores in NJ, but this week they are advertising the following for $17.99 each according to their Sunday ad insert:

Despicable Me: BD+DVD+Digital Copy

A-Team: BD+Digital Copy

The Other Guys: BD

The Town: BD+DVD

Legend of the Guardians: BD+DVD+Digital Copy

I'll have to pay more attention to their ads from now on. Its a great movie, I highly recommend it. Interestingly enough the add is also touting the DVD only versions of those titles for the same price....

There are quite a few titles being released this week that I'll probably buy when I see them in the used bins.

Oh, I've learned my lesson. . .

Oh, I've learned my lesson. . .

I have too, but I've also learned that there are exceptions. I doubt you will be able to buy True Grit anytime soon for much less than $17.99, especially if you have Amazon Prime. I'm also leery of buying WB used these days as most are rental copies with no features. I can buy The Town tomorrow locally for $17.99 and get the features plus a DVD, or get a featureless rental copy in two months for $10 + shipping. The extra 4 or 5 dolllars is worth it.
