The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain!
If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

The Specials

--This is that strange week where the prices posted above are generally only considered good through Wednesday of this week. While there are some hot new releases this week, the 800 pound gorilla in the room is Black Friday. Patrick Sun has already started a thread on the announced BF DVD deals. Check it out HERE.

--There was some last minute shenanigans and, even though I had both the DVD & BD releases of The Complete Metropolis in last week's RoundUp, the release date on the blu-ray version got pushed back to this week. hence, it is included in the price table above--again. There is also some discrepancy about the actual release date of Human Weapon: Season 1...so I am including that again as well.

--At Best Buy, SAVE $8, instantly, when you buy ANY VERSION of BOTH The Search for Santa Paws AND Beauty and the Beast. Products must be purchased on same receipt.

--BB also has an EXCLUSIVE FREE SANTA PAWS PLUSH when you buy The Search for Santa Paws on Blu-ray OR DVD. A $6.99 value. Minimum 2 plush per store. Products must be purchased on same receipt.

--Best Buy has the following Blu-ray titles listed on sale:

$7.99: Planet Hulk, 3:10 to Yuma

$12.99: Alvin/Chipmunks Squeakquel, Zombieland, Tooth Fairy, Percy Jackson, Hot Tub Time Machine, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, She's Out of My League. (DVDs $9.99 each.)

$14.99: Remember Me, Wolfman, Green Zone, MacGruber, The Hurt Locker, Get Him to the Greek (DVDs $9.99 each.)

$17.99: How to Train Your Dragon (Combo Pack)

$24.99: Sons of Anarchy: Season 1

--BB has the following TV on DVD on sale this week:

$14.99: Heroes: Season 3, The Office: S5, House: S5, Battlestar Galactica: S4.5

$16.99: The Shield: Season 7, Rescue Me: S5

$17.99: One Tree Hill: Season 6, Two and a Half Men: S6.

$19.99: Glee: S1.

--Best Buy Odds and Ends: $3.49 DVDs: Final Destination 3, Jaws 3.

--Target's Sunday flyer says it's prices are in effect November 21 - 24, 2010.

--Target this week has an EXCLUSIVE release of Eat Pray Love which features the DVD of the movie plus the soundtrack CD for the film ($22.99). Quantities limited, no rainchecks.

--Sunday's Target flyer also has a coupon--which expires 11-24-10--for $5 off any Disney Blu-ray title priced $16.99 or higher. Excludes the search for Santa Paws. Limit one manufacturer and Target coupon per item, Void if copied, scanned, transferred, purchased, sold or prohibited by law. Item(s) may not be available at all stores. Coupon value may not exceed value of item purchased. No cash value.

--In keeping with the above coupon, Target has advertised the following Disney Blu-ray titles on sale for $19.99 (before coupon. Reg. $29.99 each.): Prince of Persia, Alice in Wonderland, The Last Song.

--Target Odds and Ends: None to report.

--I am considering the addition of Ultimate Electronics info to the WRU. Let's give it a try.

--This week, UE has The Expendables for $13.95 DVD and $17.95 Blu-ray. And, Eat Pray Love for $15.95 DVD and $17.95 Blu-ray.

With a slight edit, Adam said it for me too.

Patrick Sun already had one started...but it got corrupted somehow. Hopefully, it'll be up again real soon. He had a comprehensive listing of all the DVD/BD sales. When it's back up, I'll be sure to link to it in this thread.

Target also has Blurays of the 2 disc Blu+DVD version of Toy Story 3 and Blu+DVD combo of "Tinkerbell: The Great Fairy Rescue" (TB3) listed for 19.99.

Disney Movie Rewards site has $10 coupons for Beauty and Beast (again), Searching for Santa Paws, and Fantasia (released 11/30) plus a $5 coupon for Tinkerbell 3

Some Ultimate Elec ads also have the Bluray Back to the Future Trilogy listed for $27. If anybody is heading that way and picks me up a copy I'd be more than appreciative --

I don't think I should drive the 500 miles to the closest and back in hopes of lucking into a copy.

Someone please double check since it's (a) late (b) I'm tired and (c) I've been drinking a bit, but BB.com has the Spartacus series on BD listed for $30. Fry's had it for $53 today...

There's some other stuff I might bite on, but it all depends on BB.com's Black Friday deals tomorrow. I hate this time of year.

HFS! I already have Earl on BluRay, but this and the prospect for other titles not listed in the ad will have me there at 11am for sure.

Even though this roll-up to Xmas has been a bit of a bust as far as MOVIE titles go on BluRay, tv series on BluRay seem to be having good discounts, all around.

Not likely a mistake since Amazon currently has it at $35 AND it's scheduled to be one of Amazon's Lightning deals on Friday 11/26 from 4:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. PST -- no pricetag

has been leaked yet but I'm guessing it won't go below $25.

BB.com also has Santa Paws listed at 24.99 though the ad states 25.99.

What is the significance of the Cybil Shepard photo from The Last Picture Show? I do not see a new release for that film. You got my hopes up with the photo, Mike.

It's in the Criterion box set release America Lost and Found: The BBS Story. I hope to have the review for that huge set up tonight and Countdown to Zero review up tomorrow night.

Thanks, Matt. That explains why I couldn't find an individual release.

Amazon has volumes 1-4 of the Warner Gangster Collection on sale. Each volume is sold separately. Prices per volume are between $17 and $18. This is a great price. I just bought volume 3 since that's the only one I I didn't have.

I'm going through the special features on The Expendables right now, and it's going to take a while, because the thing is fully loaded. The short review is that the a/v quality is solid, and the features are worthwhile, especially the ones exclusive to Blu. The Comic Con panel is at least as entertaining as the film.

Even if you don't need Mohicans, it's still cheaper to buy both plus you can sell Mohicans cheaply for another few dollars to some desiring HTF member who already has Aliens Quad.

That is indeed a pretty good price.
