Well.... after many years my workhorse main DVD player, a DENON DVD-1920 (standard def) finally gave out. I'm looking to replace it with a new one (not Blu-ray). Any suggestions? The new player will become my main player so it has to be a sturdy unit with FAST loading times , and with HDMI output. I also need it to play SACD and DVD-Audio discs with 5.1 or 7.1 ch analog outputs. Hopefully under $250. I have a Panasonic DMP-BD605 Blu-ray player, but loading times are slow as compared to the Denon, and I also hate the Panasonic remote. Thanks, Raul

Philip's link didn't work for me.

Try this one.

That looks like one helluva deal!

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself.Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

Thanks for the info. I finally decided to stick with DENON and bought a DVD-2930CI player which, although old (November 2006) fits my needs perfectly. Raul

It might not have as good of resolution as a true monitor would. All depends on the make and model I guess. They are generally less expensive than a nice monitor, though, I believe.
