Only thing I know is that there's a new housewife moving onto Wisteria Lane, and that's Vanessa Williams, fresh off her stint on "Ugly Betty". Season premiere is tonight at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.

All I know is that this is one of those shows I would have given up on years ago if my wife wasn't so hooked on it.

 

As it is, I'm pretty much surfing the net on my phone during the hour.

The time has come, probably not as a surprise, that the upcoming 8th season is the last. The mainstream news has been reporting this morning. At least the network let the producers know to end it. The series seems to have been in decline after the first year's innovative premiere. But the season that jumps ahead 5 years was one thing that I thought was a desperate move to reset the series. It's lost it's way recently. They couldn't recapture the fun of the first year and the mystery of Mary Alice once that was solved.
