Kinda disappointing, but at least there's activity.
Forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown.

I'd like to see a few more Columbia Musicals get released.

Especially "You Can't Run Away From It" and some of the Ann Miller and Frankie Laine titles.

It would also be good if they did a box set of some of their rare Cartoons. (Fox and the Crow comes to mind)

It's too bad that Sony didn't release their 2 Danny Kaye films, Me and the Colonel (1958) and The Man From the Diners' Club (1963), this year in celebration of his centennial like Warner Bros. and Fox have been doing.

Since January has already been covered, I'll organize what's new and what isn't.

February:

New to DVD
THE CRIMSON BLADE (1964)
THE FIRST TIME (1952)
I AM THE LAW (1938)
RINGS AROUND THE WORLD (1966)
THE SLINGSHOT (1994)

Previously on DVD
THE BITTER TEA OF GENERAL YEN (1933) Early Capra collection
CASH ON DEMAND (1962) The Icons of Suspense Collection

THE LADY IN QUESTION (1940) Glenn Ford: Undercover Crimes DVD Set
THE MIRACLE WOMAN (1931) Early Capra Collection

STRAIT-JACKET (1964) William Castle Collection

March:

New to DVD
AND SO THEY WERE MARRIED (1936)
BAIT (1954)
THE BOY FROM STALINGRAD (1943)
PASSION FLOWER (1986)
THE WHITE SQUAW (1956)

Previously on DVD

ADVENTURE IN SAHARA (1938) Samuel Fuller Collection

THE BURGLAR (1957) Columbia Film Noir #3

MR. SOFT TOUCH (1949) Glenn Ford: Undercover Crimes DVD Set

SIDE OUT (1990) Previously on DVD

Of these, February looks the most interesting.  We get a MIA Hammer film, a rarely seen early Frank Tashlin film, and an early Edward G Robinson film.  March has mostly B-films, but what stand out are The Boy From Stalingrad and And Then They Were Married.

Happy to finally see a release of the Hammer film starring Oliver Reed:

THE CRIMSON BLADE (1964)

Hopefully this means another unreleased Hammer film they own starring Oliver Reed will be released soon:

The Brighand of Kandahar (1965)

Those last three new ones seem pretty scarcely seen.  I had a bit of difficulty even finding plot synopsis for those.

Looks like BAIT (1954) was canceled or delayed from March's lineup.  All other titles are available for pre-order at rakuten.

I'm kind of glad with Thunder at the Border. I wish they would do more Westerns and War films from the 50s and 60s.
