Does the Blu-ray contain footage not on the DVD ?

I heard the missing 17 minutes had been reinstated, but I'm not sure of the details, so I thought I would ask before buying. Conquest is my favorite of the sequels even in its truncated form, which I saw several times in the seventies. I've been wanting to buy the complete set.

The Blu-ray of Conquest has both cuts of the film via seamless branching.

The Blu-ray contains two versions, BUT there is nowhere near 17 minutes of added or alternate footage.

I believe more like 4 minutes of mostly violence or what passed for gore in 1972---fake red blood.

No problem.

There's a fantastic site........... movie-censorship.com----that shows, in great detail, the cuts and alternate versions of hundreds of movies.

Both cuts made for nudity and violence and cuts made for time, pacing and other reasons.

Here's the link for 'Conquest...', but it's filled with spoilers--so you may want to watch the Blu-ray first before examining the specific cuts.

Yeah, the Extended Cut isn't 17 minutes longer, but what is there is certainly worth picking up the BD for all by itself -- particularly the alternate ending.
