The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Hey everybody.  Posted the WRU a little early tonight as I'm away for the weekend...and am currently sitting outside a small rural library tapping into a Wi-Fi signal to put the finishing touches on this week's deals!  /img/vbsmilies/htf/biggrin.gif

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!  Remember our troops--past & present.  /img/vbsmilies/htf/patriot.gif

Thanks a bunch, Mike!

Wow! Wish I had held out longer for the Tombstone BD (like I usually do). That's an awesome sale price for it.

And what's w/ that over-$30 price for The Red Baron???

Anyway, have a great holiday weekend!

Best Buy is holding midnight sales for Alice in Wonderland???

/img/vbsmilies/htf/confused.gif  I don't recall they did that for Avatar and that was a little bigger film/phenomenon.

Amazon is running a promotion for Alice: when you order Alice in Wonderland BR/DVD combo pack (currently $24.99), take $10 off when you order another Disney or Pixar release. Promo ends June 14.

Thanks as always Mike & Patrick. That is some dedication on Mike's part, sitting outside some library in the middle of the night hi-jacking their Wi-Fi signal.  Reminds me of a Cops episode I saw a couple of years ago where they busted some guy doing the same thing in front of someone's house.  Well, it wasn't the exact same thing . . . I mean he wasn't posting the Weekly RoundUp, but you get the idea.

Nothing I'm extremely interested in this week, at least enought to make a purchase. Though, as Man pointed out, that is an awesome price on the Tombstone BD. I may be picking it up this week.

For anyone that is interested in the Alice in Wonderland Blu-ray Combo Pack, DisneyMovieRewards.com has a printable $10 off coupon. Coupon items to note:

  • You must be a member of Disney Movie Rewards (it's free) to print the coupon
  • It's a Bricks Coupon so you need to install their App if you haven't already (which limits you to 2 prints per computer)
  • The coupon expires 6/15/2010

Yes, Best Buy did a midnight sale for Avatar, at least in my area they did... although, I had preordered mine there for in-store pickup, so I waited to get mine until my lunch hour on release day.

Definitely want to get War of the Worlds, and probably Law Abiding Citizen... I really didn't care much for Alice, even in 3D...

Come FEEL a great movie in the FREYMAX 3D Theater!

Just The Wolfman as a rental...not sure how well Alice will translate to the small screen since it was pretty underwhelming even in 3D.

Enjoy your weekend!

Life and War of the Worlds at some point, but not right now.  I may head to WalMart later in the week to see what kind of goddies they have lying around.  /img/vbsmilies/htf/smile.gif

You were right, Mike.  I should've waited for Armageddon on blu ray.   You said you had a feeling it would have a fast price drop & it sure did.   I think I got it for $20 minus my brother's 10% Wal Mart discount=$18 so I could've saved $5 more with it being $13.   Should've listened to the master.    Just Alice In Wonderland blu ray combo pack for me which I won in an UltimateDisney_dvdizzy contest.

Holy crap, Bill.  Get this post from ScottJH in the Consolidated HD Bargain Thread:

Amazon has matched Best Buy's $12.99 price on Tombstone & Armageddon. Plus they are still giving the additional $10 off for buying both, total $15.98 shipped.

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself.Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

Phew.  You didn't recognize me in that episode of Cops!  /img/vbsmilies/htf/laugh.gif

Actually, my wife made the same kind of crack about the "cops coming" because I was "stealing" the library's wi-fi signal after hours.  I insisted there's nothing wrong with it because it's a service they provide and it's there to be used.  And it's available 24 hours...even if the library's closed.  They even post a "Wi-Fi" sign out front in an attempt to attract people.  I'm surprised there aren't more people found sitting outside wi-fi spots late at night furtively surfing the web...  /img/vbsmilies/htf/biggrin.gif

Just saw it.  I am speechless.  Not a big fan of Tombstone but I could've had both of them for less than what I paid for just Armageddon.

If anyone is thinking of going to Costco to get the Attenborough version of "Life" be advised, my local Costco, as far as I could see was only carrying the Oprah narrated version. Needless to say, it was a dissapointment.

Also for some reason the Amazon price seems to have gone up to $50.99 for the BD

Count me in the "if it's free when they're open, it's free when they're closed" club...not that I've ever done anything like that....

Costco is currently discounting all eight volumes of The Three Stooges Collection from $16.99 to $12.99 for at least the next week.
