The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Thanks as always for the diligent work, Mike. The New Daughter will probably merit a rental for me, because I like Kevin Costner and enjoyed Ivana Baquero in Pan's Labrynth. There are some good titles on sale, but the ones I'd want I already have on DVD so it looks like nothing for me this week.

What the heck?  No Monster and the Ape on BD?  That format is never gonna take off until they start releasing the classics...

Otherwise, nothing for me.

Valentine's Day, but when it reaches a more realistic price point. And I may get to pick up Sex and the City this week, too.  We'll see.

Thank you, Mike./img/vbsmilies/htf/smile.gif

Nothing for me this week (I'm still enjoying the majesty of Rock N Roll High School in high definition anyway).

I don't need to own it but Invictus is well worth a rental for those that didn't see it in the theater.

Thanks for the prices, guys! /img/vbsmilies/htf/smile.gif

The concept of a combo pack of We Were Soldiers and Tropic Thunder is pretty damn funny. /img/vbsmilies/htf/laugh.gif

Kids want spy next door, but $25 is too much for this one.  New release prices on BRD seem to be holding steady in the mid 20's.

Yeah, that one's an eye-opener. You get the feeling that whoever in Marketing put those together has never seen (or even heard of) either film, and is going strictly by images on the covers.

Thanks for the Round-up, guys. Just Walkabout for me this week.

Three truths about movies, as noted by Roger Ebert:

* It's not what a movie is about, it's how it is about it.

* No good movie is too long, and no bad movie is short enough.

* No good movie is depressing, all bad movies are depressing.

Wow.  Thanks, Terry!

Great deal on a great set.  I wonder if that could be ANY indicator that maybe a Blu set will be coming soon...after the long-awaited update by Burns to the original set.

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself.Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

I would think a new release of Burn's "Baseball" will be issued and probably on BRD.  The new installment on the series is four hours long so it's not something that's just an add-on.
