I'll buy Red Shoes and Black Narcissus Blu-ray discs;

I wonder when Criterion will deliver the most antecipated noirs Cry of the City and The Files on Thelma Jordon. The folks out there were supposed to be working in both of them.

Me too.  Hopefully they're busy prepping some nice bonus features.  Some of Obayashi's shorts are really amazing, I'd like to see a couple of those on there.

Red Shoes/Black Narcissus - These should be stunning in hi-def. But I think I'll just rent them. I've been making too many hasty purchases lately. I like both these films a lot, but like most Powell & Pressburger, I don't need to own them.

Ozu - See above. I like all the Ozu I've seen, but not enough to buy any. I haven't seen either of these two, however, so I will definitely check them out.

Secret of the Grain - haven't seen it, another rental

Sacha Guitry - This looks the most interesting to me. I've never seen any Guitry, but I'm curious. And it'll allow me to knock another title (The Story of a Cheat) off the TSPDT 1000 list.

Guess I'll be saving some money in July.
