Glad to see you have a sense of humour. :)
Here in BC we have an orthopaedic specialist who sub-specializes in problems with the hands. His name is Dr. Gropper.
I once met a gay couple whose names were Rod and Lance. (If you don't get it right away, it'll come to you.)
One of my closest friends is named Ocean. People who meet us together usually think we are pulling their legs about our names.

A woman where I worked before had the last name of Fuchuman. Sort of funny, IMO.
I also know of someone with the name Diamond Body (real name). Not sure how Body is pronounced (could be "boady" I guess), but the name struck me as the perfect name for a Playboy centerfold or something. :)

Back in the late '70s, my then wife and I were shopping for a new dentist. So, we looked in the phone book and found a person whose name was irresistable: Jerry Derryberry. We knew we had found our dentist!

I was interning for my speech degree at a real "low socioeconomic group" school district and did speech therapy with a family of kids with the names:
I am being serious, this is for real, there were their REAL names!
Lucky Fellow (incidently, he was killed by lightening while swimming in a lake - also a true story: How frickin' bizzare!!!)
Texas Twostep
Cherry (pronounced like "chair" with an "ee" at the end, although not as unusual as her brothers names.)

You guys will probably think I am lying, but the funniest name I came across was "Furrie Fannie" (person stated the first name is pronounced 'fury').

My last name isn't really odd per say, but it's irritating. I can barely enunciate it myself. I've had 3 people in my entire life pronouce it correctly on the first try. Usually I have to say it 3 - 4 times before someone understands how it's pronounced.

When I was in high school, there was a girl in my class named Autumn Snow, which is kinda nice.

A couple of days ago I had to type a letter to a guy named Dick Hardin.

Before the kid got old enough to change it, David Bowie had a son named Zowie Bowie.

I worked with a nice Vietnamese guy years ago whose name was Phuoc Yu. Plus I remember an Oprah years ago where this woman named her kids Lemonjello and Limejello because she loved those flavours so much.

We have some great names in Alaska. My favorites are Hamilton Hamilton;

George George (he's originally from Outside);

Boris Bear;

Eddie Westcoast - sounds like some guy in a Camaro but he's full blooded Yupik (Eskimo to you Outsiders);

Nikoli Nikiti;

Tommy Snowball.

There are lots of very interesting Russian names as well - Marfa Rukovishnikoff is one that comes to mind. These are real people (I know them or their relatives).

Mark Schermerhorn, allow me to attempt: SHERM-UHR-horn?

My favorite real last name was one I saw in a company directory long ago: Kandiguranis. I never found out how it was pronounced, but I couldn't help imagining it as CAN-DIG-YER-ANUS. :b

Here's another interesting name.

College hoops fans may remember Scientific Mapp from Florida A&M? His brother, Majestic Mapp, is a guard for the Virginia Cavalier's basketball team.
