Why should they? There's no reason to. The only reason why stores like Target and Best Buy do is because they rely on sales quotas for their physical stores and that's a way to get consumers shopping in their stores. Amazon doesn't have to reveal that information because they don't have retail stores in the typical sense.

I just meant that it was weird that Amazon was the only one to carry it for 6 months.

No different than Best Buy. Best Buy never advertises things like that either ... it's usually uncovered by the media.
