I'm in!

One of the great movie moments comes in Paramount's Sunset Boulevard when aged silent film star Norma Desmond responds to being told "You used to be big!" by William Holden's character, Joe Gillis.

Desmond's response: I am big. It's the pictures that got small.

What a way to capture the state of mind of Gloria Swanson's character as she deals with her situation as a vestige of an earlier era in the history of cinema--a forgotten star whose time has passed her by.

And HERE is the HTF's review of the Centennial Collection DVD of Sunset Boulevard. Here's hoping for a Blu-ray release sometime soon!

I'm in too

"The Godfather" when James Caan says in the Italian restaurant "I don't want my brother coming out with his dick in his hand"

A great Blu-ray release.

How to pick a favorite moment? How 'bout:

"Johnny, what can you make out of this?"
"This? Why, I can make a hat or a brooch or a pterodactyl... "

Cecil B. DeMille's THE TEN COMMANDMENTS cries out for a restoration and presentation on Blu-Ray.

Besides the spectacle of the Exodus and Red Sea sequences, who can resist dialogue such as Yul Brynner's comment to Anne Baxter: "You will be mine, like my dog, or my horse, or my falcon, except that I shall love you more - and trust you less."

Other have bemoaned the need for a new transfer of this film here:

In "Tommy Boy," Tommy Boy catches Richard looking through the window at a gorgeous girl. He asks, "Who's your favorite Little Rascal? Was it Alfalfa? Or was it *Spanky*?"

An old thread about it:

In the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.............
I like the scene when one of the "Twin" Transformers tells the other one, "It's supposed to hurt! It's an ass kickin'!" Cracks me up every time I see it. www.hometheaterforum.com/forum/thread/289262/official-transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-review-thread

Saturday Night Fever. The scene after the bridge incident, when Tony has taken just about all he can from the life he is living, boards a subway alone, as we hear the haunting Bee Gees song "How Deep is Your Love." The scene ends just as hauntingly with a shot of the World Trade Center at dawn.

1979 - The Warriors

An all-time favorite scene from this film is the emergence of The Baseball Furies and the chase of The Warriors through Riverside Park.

The melting of Toht in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Edit is it that the MOMENT has to not have been said before or the film has to be unmentioned:

I'm an idiot...

Entry is: Star Trek IV, Scotty says "Hellloooo Computer"... into a Mouse.
