Need help connecting Sony 3500ES (1 Viewer)

Just purchased the Sony STR-DA-3500ES Receiver. I have Tivo plugged into HDMI1 and Sony DVD into HDMI2. I have HDMI out to my Sony TV.

For some reason, I can't get the GUI to show up on the screen. Any ideas on what I can do see the GUI and get my Tivo working again.

On page 40 of your manual, it says "Press GUI MODE repeatedly to select “GUI ON”.
Did you do this (just double checking......... You've also pressed AMP to enable receiver
operation?

According to the manual, you should be able to use the GUI over HDMI. If you're not using HDMI, maybe you should. Most older receivers required using composite or s-video connections for GUI. If HDMI won't work, maybe try composite or s-video.
