Sony BD-S760 popping sound (1 Viewer)

I recently purchased a Sony BD-S760 Blu-ray player, I am upgrading from a Samsung BD-1500. I hooked everything up, and when the player comes on it defaults the players menu as expected but I hear a popping sound every few seconds coming from the center channel. When I play a dvd/blu-ray it goes away. My Audio settings are set too Direct on the player and its going through a Sony STR-DG720 receiver via HDMI. I didn't have this issue with my older samsung.

Any ideas whats causing this sound?
