The Disclaimer Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain!
If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

I got It Might Get Loud 2 weeks ago via iTunes and recommend getting it from that source (at $14.99!). This is the first movie I bought from that service at full price and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think the iTunes Extras replicate everything the DVD does too.
http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewMovie?id=336462914&s=143441

I'd be interested in seeing someone compare the video quality with the DVD and BluRay.

We are right on the fringe of this particular Nor'Easter, Rick! My daughter in Virginia was sending us photos of the foot of snow they had already received down there. We may get just an inch or so here...unless things change (which they are prone to do when talking about Nor'Easters)...

People seem to be raving about the audio (and video, too, I think) of the District 9 Blu-ray.

I just wanted to jump in here and wish all of my fellow RoundUppers a very Happy Holidays! I am now residing in Abu Dhabi (for two years) and have been going through Internet hell the past couple of months. It looks like we finally have semi-regular service, so I wanted to strike while the iron is hot, so to speak. Since most of what is discussed in this forum is no longer available to me, I can only purchase vicariously through all of you. Blu-ray is very much a nonexistent format in the UAE (and we don't even have a TV yet - - talk about sensory depravation!) In any event, I just wanted you all to know I am here in spirit (if nothing else) and I try to lurk when possible...and will even post whenever the Internet gods deem it possible.

Cheers!

Here in NJ, we are getting so much snow that I might not make it to BB and Target tomorrow, which is very unusual for me when thare are sales to be had!! Hopefully, we can still make it to AVATAR in the afternoon. In any case, thanks to you, Mike, for another year of service to all of us HTF'ers. You are indispensible! You, too, Patrick! Merry Christmas.

Would have been nice if someone advertised it, but it looks like Target coupons get another run until it expires 12/24 -- hopefully 500 Days for $20 and District 9 for $15.

I'm not sure if I'm unhappy to finally be rid of these things since it has been a very expensive month saving so much money (insert whatever smiley fits that statement).

Several rentals for me: (500) Days, District 9 and Family Guy.
Checking out Avatar in 3D on Monday!
Calling a friend in Philly today to see how he's surviving the weather....

And does Target win the "Best Coupon" award for 2009?

It's hard to argue that "Best Coupon" award just for its depth and the fact it was good for a whole month.

The B&N Criterion 25% off was fun, but limited in scope and only really useful in conjunction with the already 50% off sale, but my Criterion shelf is very pretty -- I'm almost recovered from watching "In the Realm of the Senses" There are just some things that can't be forgotten easily -- you could see it coming and still was utterly shocking when it happens.

The WB multiple stacking codes (similar enough to a coupon for me) from last summer was awfully fun while it lasted-- B4G5F and such.

I'll be picking up Family Guy this week. I'm not a fan of the show at all but their first Star Wars parody was very funny so I'm sold on this one. I may grab 500 Days Of Summer at some point when it's on sale.

Thanks for the prices, guys!

Not at *my* Target though -- it gets worst coupon of the year there as far as I'm concerned.

My closest Target was sold out of District 9 on BD. I may try another Target in the area, but frankly I wasn't THAT big a fan of the movie.

Still undecided about (500) Days as it's a blind buy. My friends would be shocked at my hesitation as they know how much I like Zooey D, but I guess my "no blind buys" and "no BDs more than $15" policies are squashing it. :) Plus we all know that there are rarely "once in a lifetime" prices on new releases anymore.

My Target only had 2 copies of District 9 left yesterday afternoon, and both of those had the "Digital Copy" stickers mostly scratched off. Weird. They sold out of something new last week, too (I forget which one though). This is not a common occurrence there.

I went to Target Tuesday night to get District 9 on BD. There were none to be had on the rack, so I started looking around. I stumbled upon a cart full of returns next to the electronics counter, and there was one copy in it. It also had the remnants of a sticker on the front sleeve, so I asked the girl behind the counter if they had anymore in stock. She scanned it with the inventory gun and told me that was the only copy they had.

I find it somewhat strange they would sell out so fast, and that sticker thing left me scratching my head. Of course, the clerk could have been mistaken. Who knows? Seems like it pays to be an early bird.

Wound up back at the Target and there were a dozen copies of District 9 in the rack. So...you can guess what happened next. :)
