I would have to say that A+E 's Prisoner BR is clear winner,The remastering job is one of the Main reasons
Just watched the first Episode and could not understand how this looks so good,I use to think Goldfinger
looked good for its age, this looks even better,
I was going to give Snow White a Plug, but since you can't freeze frame it without that ugly timeline poping up,
and the still frames don't work on my Sony ,I don't think so.

Woodstock BR set is great, but the fact that they gave all the bonus preformances to the UK,and farmed
out 3 to Amazon and 3 to Target was a rotten thing to do.Now I hear they are going to include these in
the next version...Ugh!
Plus the Box itself is pretty lame compared to
the Wiz Box ,Not to mention theres tons of filmed music nowhere on this set becuase of music rights.

"North By Northwes"t is my second pick, while the cover design is pretty poor, the Book is nice, and the transfer
is fantastic.

For Picture only : Yellowstone" Battle for Life"
a fantastic nature series shot in HD

I assume we'll do our annual voting on various DVD and Blu-ray releases, but I can tell you what *I* think is the best Blu-ray release of the year in terms of picture and sound quality: Sin City.

Off the top of my head, I'd say I was most impressed by The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, Lost: Season Five, Monsters, Inc., Sin City, Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs, Up, Watchmen and Zodiac. Keep in mind that I haven't seen every 'big' disc this year and I certainly don't have the eye that some people have.

Best: Gone With the Wind (classy in every respect), Snow White (the velvet box is beautiful)

Most Disappointing: The Wizard of Oz (the pluses in regards to the picture do not, sadly, make up for the alterations to the soundtrack and the one or two digital glitches. Plus, the box art was terrible.)

"Sin City " I don't think its much of a surpise that this looks good,Not my taste but from what
I saw it looks good,I think the Prisoner is simply more amazing and for the forty dollars a much
better deal! Some got it even for less
I liked the look of " Sin" better than "300" But don't really care for blue screen films like
this.
The Wizard of Oz box is really nice ,don't know about watch ,
