I have a Sharp HD BD 20U that won't play my new Star Trek season 2 box set.

Is there any way I could remove the firmware updates I've added and is there any chance this might help?
The updates were for movies I wanted to rent and not for any i actually own.
Also I still have the latest firmware update on a flashdrive and could update the machine again if it didn't help this problem.

Thanks for any help !!

Have you tried disabling BD Live, on your blu ray player?
This has to be done for most players to play the new Wolverine movie. It may help in your case too.

Does it not play any of the discs, in the box set? Was thinking maybe it is a bad disc.

As far as removing FW updates, you might can do that by resetting player to factory settings. It should tell you in the manual how to do that. It's usually somewhere near the troubleshooting area.
Good luck!

Not sure about ALL blu ray players but with the Samsung P3600 you can downgrade the firmware.. I have done it and wnet from the 2.03 to the 1.03 and then back to 1.04 ;)
