So, what TV Show Season Sets are you missing and what are you waiting for to buy them?

Personally, I'm missing:

Lois and Clark: New Adventures of Superman Season 4
A-Team Season 5
Roswell Season 3
NYPD Blue Season 1,2
The Flintstones Season 4,5,6
Dukes of Hazzard Season 1,2,5,7
Charmed Season 5,6,7,8
Stargate Atlantis Season 5

Mostly, I'm just waiting for an opportunity to get these sets and mostly due to pricing. I'll order these sets when the prices are more reasonable. $15-$25 is right around my target.

The only thing I haven't got is Hawaii Five-O Season Six. My girlfriend was supposed to get it for me for my birthday. A month later and I'm still waiting.

I'm falling way behind on my buying lately.  Here's my list of shows I've started and want to continue:

Bewitched S8
I Dream Of Jeannie S5
The Partridge Family S4
That Girl S3, S4, S5
Roseanne S9
Will and Grace S8
Gunsmoke S3 V1, S3 V2
Rawhide S3 V2
Perry Mason S3 V1, S3 V2, S4 V1
The Fugitive S2 V2 (I do plan on buying it)
Many volumes of Dark Shadows (this will take a while for me to complete!)
The Waltons S8, S9
Charlie's Angels S3, S4
Dallas S9 and beyond (forgot how many are out now)
Quantum Leap S4, S5
Lost S4
Supernatural S3
Battlestar Galactica S4
Heroes S2
The Unit S3
Mad Men S2

And these are shows I don't have any seasons of but want to collect:

Alfred Hitchcock Presents
The Untouchables
The Twilight Zone
The Outer Limits
Route 66
The Munsters
Green Acres
Mission Impossible
The Rockford Files
The Mary Tyler Moore Show
The Bob Newhart Show
Barney Miller
Wonder Woman
The Love Boat
The Golden Girls

Wow-I need to win the lottery!  At least I still have a lot to watch as my viewing is always behind too.  The only thing that bothers me about falling behind is having to wait on certain shows whose fate doesn't seem as secure as others, so I hope I'm not contributing to their ultimately being abandoned.

Missing? Well, I want to finish what's been released of Law and Order ( I only have Season One) and add on to my SVU collection, I think I'm about four seasons behind there. Also really kicking myself that I didn't get the season sets for He-Man and She-Ra now, but I'll live.

As for stuff I want to start and finish, Perry Mason and The Lucy Show.

Scott, you can find Bewitched Season 8 at Walmart's for $25. That's where I got my copy from. Also, you can get Partridge Family Season 4 at Amazon for $17.99. Wonder Woman sets you can grab at Big Lots for $3 per set.

Questions I'd Like to Ask in Upcoming Chats:

I tried posting this as a New Thread, but "New Thread" routes to http://www.hometheat.../forum/list/51# which is just the SD DVD TV Shows and TV Movies main listing, not an opportunity to create a new thread.

When is the next Warner Home Video (WHV) Chat? I’d like to make it for the next one so that it could like someone, other than our intrepid Jim Beaver, is interested in a "Brimstone" (1998) release.

As of 07/27/2009,

Brimstone (1998)

Voting Results:

Unreleased Rank: 28th

Season Set: 2044 (99.95%)

Why haven’t there been any Paramount Home Video chats since September 6, 2000? I’d like to ask if/when they’re planning on releasing:

"Becker" Season 3 and beyond

"Special Unit 2"

"The Carol Burnett Show" (1967) - just the skits.

When is the next Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment chat? I’d like to ask if/when they’re planning on releasing:

Strange Luck (1995)

Newhart (1982) Season 2 and beyond.

If there were ever a Sony Chat, I’d like to ask about:

Mike Hammer (1956-1959, 79 episodes), with Darren McGavin.

Production Companies: Revue Studios

Distributors: "Studios USA Television"

(Maybe Sony could get the rights.)

and

Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer 1984-1987, 48 episodes, with Stacy Keach.

Distributor: Sony Pictures Television (2002-)

I don't either. I see no reason for it. There isn't a whole lot that I'm missing, at any rate.

  • the next season (-s?) of Alias Smith and Jones.
  • The Virginian (1965)
  • Maverick (1957)
  • High Chaparral
  • rest of several series I trust will arrive one day finally (e.g. King of the Hill, The Nanny, Midsomer Murders)

I am interested in purchasing season 1 of S.W.A.T. ,  however,  I am not sure if season 2 will ever come out.  I would really hate to purchase this then find out that the rest of the seasons will not be released.

I am still waiting on:

Law & Order: Criminal Intent season 4

SWAT has died for some unknown reason. The first season has come out, but, the second season has been stalled for at least 6 yrs. The timing of the first season coincided with the release of the movie. It gets very frustrating when the studios do not complete the release, especially for shows that are only 1-4 seasons.

Thanks for the info..

I was going to purchase SWAT but will not (unless found cheaply used).   I think that there were only 2 seasons of the show.

The same with WKRP in Cinicnnati.   I have never heard anything about season 2 coming out.
