MacMall is running this deal on a 24" iMac. About the same price
as a 20" iMac.

This must be the previous model, before this latest refresh. Apple no longer sells a 2.8 GHz iMac and it has a smaller hard drive and half the RAM as the current 24". Not saying it's a bad deal; but prospective buyers should know it's clearance on an older model.

That's hot. Just tweeted it and put the recommendation up on the Hard Forum hot deals section.

These are damned nice machines and I'd much rather have the dedicated video card than the integrated graphicsl in the current "entry level" 24-inch model.

FYI there is a 15+ page thread discussing the merits of this deal here:
24" iMac - Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8GHz, 2GB Memory, 320GB Hard Drive (MB325LL/A) - $1,124.99 (AR) - SlickDeals.net Forums

Pretty ridiculous conversation but for those considering it might be some signal in all that noise.

I don't use the iMac I have now since I got my Mac Pro, but if I was looking for any iMacs at all I would jump on this in an instant.
