Awesome news Ron! I passed on the collection because I only liked the '89 movie. This is a definite buy for me! Posted Image

Are the special features any different than the one in the anthology set?

Kool. Yet another title that will make use of the BD blank cases I recently bought. Posted Image Bring it!

BTW, any news on whether Batman Returns will also get a standalone release?

It just bought the UK BDs of the first three movies. I would have liked this BD-book edition but only if it was individually available for the sequels (at least Batman Returns). I'm curious though to have a glimpse of the printed content of this book edition.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

I bought BATMAN from the UK about 2 weeks ago.

Total with shipping was only $18 and it arrived in less than a week.

Check out Sendit.com for the best price.

The transfer on this title was incredible. Why buy the whole set, when you can buy the individual titles for less (I also bought BATMAN RETURNS)?

To help maximize sales of the box set.

"And now the reprimand, from an American critic. He reproaches me for using film as a sacred & lasting medium, like a painting or a book. He does not believe that filmmaking is an inferior art, but he believes, and quite rightly, that a reel goes quickly, that the public are looking above all for relaxation, that film is fragile and that it is pretentious to express the power of one's soul by such ephemeral and delicate means, that Charlie Chaplin's or Buster Keaton's first films can only be seen on very rare and badly spoiled prints. I add that the cinema is making daily progress and that eventually films that we consider marvelous today will soon be forgotten because of new dimensions & colour. This is true. But for 4 weeks this film [The Blood of a Poet] has been shown to audiences that have been so attentive, so eager & so warm, that I wonder after all there is not an anonymous public who are looking for more than relaxation in the cinema." - Jean Cocteau, 1932

Well I lied to myself. I sold the normal UK BD to a friend and bought again the movie in this book-like version. I really like the packging and written stuff. I wonder if the sequels are going to get the same treatment.
