I was walking down 5th Avenue on my way to work and I saw what I thought was a person wearing make-up. He was an otherwise normal-looking businessman in his 50's, but his skin was a dull metallic gray, very much like lead or dull silver. I thought it was some promotional gimmick but I noticed his hands were the same color and as I got closer I saw it was not makeup at all, but his actual skin color!

I looked up "silver skin" on the internet and apparently some people have a condition called argyria, which is a permanent discoloration of the skin caused by ingestion of silver! There is apparently a 'colloidial silver' remedy where it supposedly acts like an antibiotic, but the risk is your skin could permanently change color!

I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. Here's a picture of someone who has argyria, this is what the man's skin looked like:

Kind of looks like an older version of Dreyfuss in "Jaws" (except for the silver skin of course)
STOP HIM! He's supposed to die!

I saw a documentary about this on Discovery Health or one of those channels. The man pictured was part of it.

One of my relatives has a similar problem with vitamin A (skin can turn very orange).

Interestingly, the Google ads at the bottom of this thread are now all trying to sell us colloidial silver. Uh, no thanks!

That same picture was just on "The Doctors" a few days ago.

Must be a popular time for this subject. I'd never heard of it before.

I'm surprised the guy could live long enough to get to that color, thought most metals were toxic in large doses.
