I having a problem getting the trueHD to bitstream from my onkyo 605 receiver & my panasonic 30 player. I am hoping that warner bros would look into the problem. I get no sound. its like the reciever is looking for the signal and cann't find it. the dolby digital works just fine.

thank you.

I have the same problem with my Panasonic bd-50, and my onkyo 606. I have tried 2 copies. My hookup is by HDMI.

the only way that panasonic will be able to fix the trueHD on the pansonic 30 is for people to call in and report it. the phone number: 1-800-211-7262
I have already called in.. but others will have to do that too.
it will help alot if other people call in and report this problem. then they can fix it.
thanks.

Turn secondary audio off in the player's firmware.

Secondary audio on + TrueHD over bitstream + Java encoded menus = no TrueHD.

It's not a Panasonic issue, but a Blu-ray spec one.

I never had the second audio on in the first place.. I don't get with either the second audio on or off.

It might be the receiver. IIRC, there was a firmware issue with the first run of 605s.

In any case, I've got the TrueHD to work on this title with the same basic setup (Pan 30/Onkyo 606 rather than 605), so it's not the disc, but a firmware and/or setup issue.

I talked with onkyo.. its not the reciever. my receiver does read the trueHD & DTS MA on other bluray titles. its not that.
