The press release for this box set stated the episodes were remastered: "Weighing in at 10 pounds, The Sopranos: The Complete Series includes a 56-page hand-assembled album enclosed in a sleek black linen box featuring all 86 episodes re-mastered on 28 discs as well as two bonus discs and two CD soundtracks on three discs. The album also includes 16-pages of editorial detailing the entire award-winning series. Packaged as the ultimate keepsake, The Sopranos: The Complete Series is available for the suggested retail price of $399.99." The review that was posted though, states these are the same discs as on the regular season box sets. So were the episodes remastered or not? Thanks.

I haven't seen them but I'm positive that they're the same discs as the season sets (except for maybe the disc art). The studios almost always use the same discs in series sets in order to keep their cost low and their profit high.

Thanks for the info, Tom. Hopefully that's a sign that a Blu-ray release may be on the horizon.
