I just received a Holiday Press Binder. While most upcoming BD releases are well known already, there are two titles that I haven't seen announced until now.

The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)
Projected Release Date: December 02, 2008.
Synopsis: The Day the Earth Stood Still depicts the arrival of an alien dignitary, Klaatu (Michael Rennie), who has come to earth with his deadly robot, Gort (Lock Martin), to deliver the message that earthlings must stop warring among themselves - or else. Losing patience, Klaatu slips into the human world, where he meets a smart woman with a conscience and her inquisitive son. Both mother and son soon find themselves embrouled in the complex mystery of Klaatu, his message and the government's witch hunt for the alien.

The Seven Year Itch (1955)
Projected Release Date: April 14, 2009.
Synopsis: It's a steamy summer in New York City and this scandalous, sexy comedy heats things up even more! A married man (Tom Ewell), whose wife and son are away for the summer, has his fidelity put to the test when a seductive starlet (Marilyn Monroe) moves in upstairs. Keeping his marriage vows in the dace of her flirtations proves tough when challenged by the notorious "seven year itch." Faced with this provacative problem, he's victim to an outrageous mating dance filled with hilarious comedy!

Put me down for both of these.

I just hope The Seven Year Itch isn't DNR'd to death (and early CinemaScope films are extremely grainy).

I have played it on my blu ray machine it looks fantastic. Seven and Niagara Gentlemen Millionaire and River what a feast for the eyes. They have been playing Seven Year Itch on Fox Movie Channel with the extras so I have a feeling it will be soon. Fox I am sure has Marilyn on the top of their list for blu ray. Seven Year Itch has always been my favorite so I will anxiously await the release.

Niagara in blu ray would be cool too.

Perhaps "Itch" was held back for either restoration work or if they want to do yet another Marilyn Monroe promotion...or both.

Yes that crossed my mind too. I just hope it comes soon. This will be my third Seven Year Itch when blu ray comes out. I guess it goes without saying I am a huge Marilyn fan. I was so happy when they restored the footage of Somethings Got To Give. I thought she looked fantastic!!! The blu ray player does give a nice up grade. Diamonds Are a Girls Best Friend knocked me out!!

TV shows I was surprised Peyton Place is out I put my order in for the first volume.

Any new news on the Seven Year Itch? After all, it's coming out in two more weeks and I have been counting down the days.

I would almost think it was delayed since we never got an official press release or artwork etc. I hope it is coming though along with How to Marry a Millionaire.

The 14th has come and gone and no Seven Year Itch. I loved the restoration on the Robe. The delay could be that or they want a box set which is foolish. I think all of Marilyn's Movies will be restored but one at a time and sold as same. We just settle for the DVD upgrades in a blu-ray player which looks pretty darn good.
