Any chance we may see "The Abyss" on BD anytime soon?
This is one title in desperate need of remastering for 16:9 screens.

1080p transfer and dts-Master Audio are an absolute must.Van Ling said:In the meantime, what features would you folks like to see on a BD version?
Great news!Van Ling said:We're all in agreement on that, Todd! In fact it HAS been remastered for 16x9, but is awaiting Jim Cameron's review and approval.
all the trailers in glorious hd, if possible in oar tooVan Ling said:In the meantime, what features would you folks like to see on a BD version?
At the very minimum, most if not all of the features from the 2-disc DVD ported over.Van Ling said:In the meantime, what features would you folks like to see on a BD version?
Ditto. I would also like both versions, but I definitely prefer the extended cut (with some type of lossless audio obviously). I would also like to see most if not all of the features from the 2-disc DVD (great set BTW). If there was something new produced in HD for the disc that would be great, but it is not essential to me. It is more important to me to have the other features so that don't have to keep both.RickER said:Oh, but it HAS to have the doc thats on the DVD too! Thats one of the best ever made.
I think it should also have both versions of the film, theatrical, and extended. But, if we only got one version, the extended cut is the one i would want.
