Savage Streets was passed by the BBFC this past week, given an 18 certificate and with all previous cuts waived. It is being released by Arrow Film in the UK.

Front cover artwork (possibly one of four different front cover artworks) is now on Arrow Films'/Arrow Video's website's page for Savage Streets. A larger version of the same front cover artwork is up on Amazon UK's page for the title. DVD extras info is on both Arrow Films'/Arrow Video's and Amazon UK's website.

The UK release date is Monday 20th June, 2011.

The DVD extras for the Arrow Video release of Savage Streets appear to be virtually the same as the 2-disc Region 1 release. Did the Region 1 release have a collector's booklet? The Arrow Video release dosen't appear to have the video interview with Johnny Venocur.

Yup! And from a new HD transfer done in April '11, no less. Plus the commentary is no longer edited as it had been before.

Shall be interesting to see what new DVD extras there could/will be on Code Red's release of Savage Streets. I'd like to see a tribute to John Vernon as a DVD extra on Code Red's release.

The Cinema Overdrive guys ran a 35mm prints here a few months ago. Such hilarious film on the big screen. They did a great poster for the event:

The only thing cut from the commentary were two people who showed up without my knowledge and had nothing to add to the commentary. They had nothing to do with the film and there were already enough people in the room who did work on the film.

Code Red is making it sound like we censored something interesting out of the commentary, but we did the opposite. We took out something that wasn't.
