Go get em kids!
Apple - iTunes - Download iTunes

Plus you will need the 2.0 firmware to make it work, but beware this erases your iPhone and does NOT work on the touch!:
Get your 2.0 firmware on ... early! - The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)

Also it occurs to me, why isnt there an app store for OSX applications? This could immediately become the steam of OSX....

Also, there's a 2.1 software update for AppleTV, which makes it compatible with MobileMe, iTunes 7.7 and the new Remote app for iPhone & iPod Touch. AND I just discovered that this update makes ATV respect the Compilations Browsing setting on the iTunes host it is synced to. About time, Apple!

Spent some time browsing the AppStore. Lots of cool-looking stuff. Can't wait to get 2.0 on my phone and start downloading!

Three truths about movies, as noted by Roger Ebert:

* It's not what a movie is about, it's how it is about it.

* No good movie is too long, and no bad movie is short enough.

* No good movie is depressing, all bad movies are depressing.

Downloaded and installed the 2.0 firmware and it ROCKS! The free remote control app that Apple has put out for iTunes is amazingly useful.

MacFixIt is reporting some serious issues with the iTunes update.

As far as I'm concerned, it's a damned shame that a field as potentially dynamic and vital as journalism should be overrun with dullards, bums, and hacks, hag-ridden with myopia, apathy, and complacence, and generally stuck in a bog of stagnant mediocrity. - Hunter S. Thompson, 1958, from cover letter he wrote for a newspaper job.

I'll say there are some serious issues.

The new iTunes will not even recognize my 1st gen iPhone

Additionally, I have no idea what to do with the iPhone 2.0
.dmg install files that I just downloaded as they do not install
by just clicking on them.

Maybe I should just wait for my 3G phone tomorrow.

"this update makes ATV respect the Compilations Browsing setting on the iTunes host"???

Please explain. Does that mean I can play a video playlist now?

Anyway, I noticed the volume on iTunes is way lower now. Had to jack up amplifier.

I may regret this, but I am updating my iPhone to the unofficial 2.0 software...it's about halfway done. My desire to try some actual 2.0 apps got the better of me!

Is there any benefit to upgrading iTunes if you don't have any of Apple's toys? After a series of problematic releases, iTunes 7.6 is actually working good for me so I don't want to fuck with it if I don't have to.

So has anyone in Europe or Asia been able to get the 2.0 firmware through iTunes? It's still telling me that 1.1.4 is the latest, and MobileMe is barely alive (no WebMail yet).
Hold on tightly, let go lightly.
