IIRC, one of the major considerations in calibrating a display for home theater is color temperature, the goal being 6500K. I don't have a 6500K reference though. I do have a mac with colorsync, however. After calibrating my monitor with the tool, I noticed that the program estimates the color temperature. I'm thinking that I can use this method to adjust the reds, greens and blues to approximately the right values, verify the result with Colorsync and double check with DVE's color filters. Anybody tried this technique?
