Don't see the stand alone installer available as a download yet.

Update: combo updater now available for download: Apple - Support - Downloads - Mac OS X 10.5.3 Combo Update
536MB, it is a biggie!

As far as I'm concerned, it's a damned shame that a field as potentially dynamic and vital as journalism should be overrun with dullards, bums, and hacks, hag-ridden with myopia, apathy, and complacence, and generally stuck in a bog of stagnant mediocrity. - Hunter S. Thompson, 1958, from cover letter he wrote for a newspaper job.

Tons of fixes in this one. No wonder it's so big.

Nothing apparently different. I guess the goodness is hidden in OS X's innards.

I can now run Time Machine from my MBP on battery power instead of AC only. Time Machine seems faster to me and launch times for Office 2008 are considerably shorter. On the downside, the backlit keyboard now brightens and dims on its own regardless of how bright the room is.

My screen saver (standard astronomical pics) started behaving very weirdly with pictures stuttering after the upgrade. Really haven't had a chance to play with it (this post from my ancient PB still running Tiger).
Hold on tightly, let go lightly.
