Just received an email from Amazon:
Amazon now has 6/3/2008 as the new release date.

Edit: Postponed from original street Date: May 20, 2008

Over at the HDD forums there are people who have seen copies of Bee Movie blu-ray on the shelves at their local Wallmart today.

I think Bee Movie is still on for May 20th only Amazon doesn't know it yet :D

I swung by a super Walmart this morning, and after ten minutes of trying to find any Blu-rays, stumbled upon a small section near the back of the media area. They had four copies of Bee Movie on the shelf. I went ahead and picked one up and canceled my Amazon order.

The "Bee Movie" was released on the original 5/20/08 date. Found a copy at my local Target store.

There were no copies to be found at my local Best Buy, Circuit City or WalMart stores.

Amazon should not give out false information as in a "release date" change.

If the shortage was caused by a production shortage due to available Blu-ray-authoring-facilities, that would affect the 'Memorial Day weekend' Bee Movie (Blu-ray) supply demand - they should say so.
