I just received Lost season 3 on blu-ray from Amazon.com

and upon opening it up to start watching it.
Disc #5 is actually disc #1

Disc #1 is still one.

So I have two disc 1's and no #5 disc.

Has this been heard about from anyone else?

Labelling errors (which is a more accurate description than "pressing mistake", which suggests something wrong with the data on the discs) happen surprisingly often in multi-disc DVD sets and have since the format was introduced. Typically they are flukes that happen at one replication plant (sometimes during a single shift) and which affect relatively few disc sets. Contact Amazon and exchange the set. There is very little chance that you'll get another box with the same problem.

Regards,

Joe

So it sounds like Mr. Roger Workman screwed up my disc :)

Yeah, I've already contacted Amazon.com and they are sending me out another set.
I'm just glad I have 30 days to send them back the set, so I can watch this and enjoy it again until the replacement set gets here.

Okay.
I received my replacement Lost season 3 disc set very quickly.
But very angry that this replacement set ALSO is screwed up.
Disc 5 is AGAIN disc 1

So anybody planning on buying Season 3 from Amazon, should hold out.
They must have a big batch of screwed up sets

How come this hasn't been made a bigger issue of? In my opinion, something like this, should be being put on all the forums. This is horrible. I bought my set from Amazon a few months ago and never opened it. It's way beyond the return policy, even though it's still sealed... I wonder if I should open it... I can't believe this is the first time we're hearing about a major pressing issue on this release! It's been out for such a long time now. :frowning:

I'm afraid to open mine up now... like I said, I can't return it anymore...

Perhaps it not being put on all the forums because it is a relatively rare occurrence.

I bought my set from Amazon in January when it was on sale for $39 dollars and everything is ok.

I would suggest you open the set and check out the disks. Even if you do have a problem and Amazon doesn't want to help, I'm fairly certain Disney will help if you contact them.

I completely forgot about Disney Blu-ray(DVD) hotline number.
I guess I could just send one set back and keep the other one and try to get a replacement disc.

I have to call Disney once for a DVD replacement. It was hands down the best customer service I've ever had. Quick, easy and the person I spoke with spoke English as a first language. It's been a few year, but hopefully their customer support is still top notch.

Glad it was resolved. I have had to have discs replaced by Disney, Universal and WB, and never had any problems with any of them.

Yeah, thanks Adam.
That was my first Blu-ray mistake.
and right when I got that set, that was the disc I was hoping to play.
I'm glad they have this type of replacement service.
