The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

"LP" in the RoundUp table means a store’s Sunday flyer says "Low Price". That means I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, as always, Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

Lots and lots of rentals...and a couple review discs I already have. Otherwise, I'll probably bite on the Ghost Rider/Hellboy combo and put the $20 GC toward the new TV.

I'll be picking up No Country For Old Men on BR and the three Fox Film Noirs.

I'll rent Bee Movie and just wait to buy the inevitable Blu Ray release if I like it.

Happy birthday, Mike! Posted Image (I'm not stalking you, I just saw your name on the birthday list).

No Country for Old Men and Gattaca on BD for me. I'm tempted by Sleuth (I'm one of the five people that saw it in theaters), but the stabilizing effect of the end of the format war on BD prices keeps it a bit above what I want to pay. I'll be getting Appleseed in three weeks when the HD DVD I pre-ordered with the Amazon 10% discount gets released.

Thanks everybody for the birthday wishes! Yup...one more year till the big 5-0. Will probably go Blu on No Country for Old Men. Might wait until I see a used copy of it pop up somewhere...or else some kind of decent deal. Am looking forward to see what all the fuss is about. Sleuth is buggin' me. I've wanted a copy of the '70s version with Olivier & Caine for a loooooong time. Maybe in the absence of that (still surprised a re-release wasn't put together to coincide with the release of the new version) I'll pick this version up (SD-DVD) when it goes PV at a local rental shop.

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself.Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

Mike Frezon (49), HA!!! I thought I was old, well I'm 57, but you pushing 50 makes me feel OK. By the way since it's your Birthday, just get any dang movie(s) you want this week. I noticed that some new releases seem to be a little higher in price. Dan in Real Life and Sleuth (2007), is that just me or a trend?

Happy birthday, Mike. Today was my original due date when my mom was pregnant with me, but it took me a couple more weeks to actually come out. As for this week's releases, I'm looking to get No Country for Old Men, and maybe Dan in Real Life, on Blu. As for Bee Movie, like Travis I'll probably rent the SD release so I can actually see it without having to wait until the eventual Blu-ray is released (unfortunately, I never got around to seeing it at the theater).
