Sometime very soon, Amazon and one of the HD consortia are going to pay me to take movies off their hands. Hopefully it'll be better stuff than this sale (which actually seems motivated by freeing up warehouse space).

The stuff being sold by the Blu-ray and HD camps is....well....yich!

It just goes to show how many great titles are not yet available
on these formats.

I did break down and buy The Devil Wears Prada, as I
really loved that film the first time I saw it last year. With the
additional HD discounts some of us qualified for a year ago, the
price of this title came just under $17. Not bad at all!

This sale doesn´t sound that exciting in the end. It may be 55%, but it´s from the SRP... I mean "The Devil Wears Prada [Blu-ray]" is in DVDpacific at $29.34 (on this Amazon sale $27.95).. Retail price for e.g. Prada might be $39.98, but I doubt that many online-store are using that price.. But hey, it´s a few dollars off, so I don´t complain. This time I just pass..

You got there too late, Jari. On Nov. 19, which was the "one day" of the sale, Prada was $17.99. I know, because I ordered it as a Christmas gift for my wife. :)
