Well, I'll be using this for lots of Christmas shopping to fulfill those HD want lists everyone has. Thanks for the heads up!

Did they carry BD and HD-DVD during the last sale? If so, did the discount apply to them?

Guess it's time to decide whether to keep that cheap HD-A2. . . Posted Image

Yeah, they had them during the last two 20% sales. But, a lot of their prices were a few bucks more than Amazon. I have that 10% off all my HD purchases through Amazon, so it didn't benefit me to order through DDD. Right now, Transformers on HD is cheaper than Amazon... So certain titles will be cheaper than we (anyone with the 10% off HD) can get on a daily basis through Amazon. Those are the titles I'll be looking at purchasing.

This really comes at a bad time of year for me, as no one I buy gifts for is really into DVD's. So I end up spending a bunch of money on me that I should be spending on other boring gifts. Posted Image

Well, maybe I'll finally pick up at least one of the George Carlin box sets. I'll never understand why those are still so expensive. Posted Image

...and our credit cards.

Three truths about movies, as noted by Roger Ebert:

* It's not what a movie is about, it's how it is about it.

* No good movie is too long, and no bad movie is short enough.

* No good movie is depressing, all bad movies are depressing.

Actually, a quick glance at their HD prices reveals an historically low temptation level this time around.

Only if it's released before the 25th, ... then you can order it after it has been released but not before.

Here's the specific details from my email ...

Thanks for the heads up, but unfortuneately I probably won't be able to purchase much, if anything. The not-for-profit organization I work for has to dissolve at the end of January 2008, and I don't have any new job lined up yet.
