I ordered the third Volume this past December as a Xmas Present from Me to Myself. Looks like I'll open it during my annual "Xmas in July" Week I do every July the week after Independence Day Week. This years festivities will run July 8-18. :D During this period I break out my Holiday Music CDs and play them, along with Holiday Movies and Christmas-Themed TV Episodes. It's a GREAT way to get your mind off the Summer Heat!

I'm excited to see this final volume getting close to completion.  John Ellis really should be commended for all the work he's done on this series for many years now.  My hat is off to him and I only wish him the best.

Gary "thank you, John, for bringing this fantastic series to dvd and doing so with incredible care and professionalism" O.

I have been considering buying the series for quite a while as I was a huge fan of the comic strip and Milt Caniff. Are any of the supporting characters from the comic strip included in the series?? Just curious.

I sent these guys an E-Mail asking them if they have any future projects on the drawing board once they finish this one. I suggested they should come out with the following: Blue Angels Chopper One Ripcord Spencer's Pilots Whirlybirds I don't know what they can do about getting these series out, but one can always hope! :D

Just got an e-mail from John (as did all of us who are subscribed for updates) that the final volume is set for Christmas.    I can tell this project has taken its toll on John over these last few years, but he is to be commended for taking the time to rescue a rare piece of television from obscurity and present it with care in a way that most major studio labels would never do.      Thank you, John!

Ditto that - I never thought I would ever see this series again - and never in such fabulous condition.

Cheers, John

Well, I bought the first two sets and that's certainly the best way that one can support such a (worthy) project.

Dean Fredericks (January 21st, 1924–June 30th, 1999) is an interesting actor in that celebrity just seemed to elude him.  Had the STEVE CANYON (NBC 1958-59) tv series been a 5 year hit things may have been different.  It is curious that all this vintage retro entertainment is being rediscovered by a more thoughtful, appreciative generation of fans.  Certainly a testament to its enduring quality!

I remember the gentleman as the frontier physician Dr. James Rolfe struggling with his Native American heritage in THE LONE RANGER AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD (1958) and of course he starred in the 1960s black-and-white SF B-film doublebill programmer THE PHANTOM PLANET (1961).

Apparently Dean Fredericks was also a regular cast member in the JUNGLE JIM (Syndicated 1955-56) tv series starring Johnny Weissmuller (June 02nd, 1904 – January 20th, 1984).
