We found a nice surprise today when firing up Buena Vista Home Entertainment's 'Wild Hogs' Blu-ray Disc for the first time. Individual upcoming films coming to Blu-ray teasers have replaced the montage Blu-ray Disc promo trailer that's been running since late last year. More importantly, the first Blu-ray Disc trailer to play was Disney and Pixar's latest CGI-animated feature, 'Ratatouille.'

Has anyone seen this on the Wild Hogs disc? Sounds like they dropped the Are you ready to rock bit.

Hopefully this will come out the same day as Cars and the Pixars Shorts disc. And if so it would be wise to bundle them all together at a reduced price.

Very entertaining and funny film!
It's so hard to believe the upcoming film teasers, since we've been bitten so much lately.Posted Image
Still, it would be great, but I doubt it will be out that soon. Ratatouille is still playing in my local theater.

Dylan, do you have some inside information or something? I don't mean to sound unnecessarily suspicious, but my fear ever since Disney didn't release Cars day-and-date was that the Pixar movies would come out a year later on BD vs. their SD counterparts.
Universal Blu-ray Discs I will not be buying while they're offered only as Blu-ray + DVD 'flipper' discs:

The Jackal
, Out of Africa, and Traffic.

Excellent. Thanks for sharing! I'm really excited to hear Ratatouille will be coming to BD this year. I think I enjoyed this movie more than my kids did. Now if only they'd release Brad Bird's The Iron Giant and The Incredibles! Greed is good!

Just went back and saw Ratatouille for a second time yesterday. I forgot how wonderful of a movie that is. November 6th (if that is the date) can't come soon enough!

Ratatouille is one I'm patiently waiting for. The minute I get, we're firing it up. One of the best movies of the year, IMHO.

The dvd version is the lesser of the two formats. The mouse throwing all it's weight behind Blu.

From HIDef Digest

"Disney Serves Up 'Ratatouille' on Blu-ray this November"
Quote:
Hide the cheese! Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has announced that the rats of 'Ratatouille' will make their Blu-ray debut this November.

Due in stores November 6, day-and-date with the standard-def DVD version, the Blu-ray edition of 'Ratatouille' will boast a 1080p transfer in the film's original 2.40:1 aspect ratio and uncompressed PCM 5.1 audio (at 48kHz/24-bit).

Among the bonus features will be a new documentary on the making of the film, deleted scenes and the short film "Your Friend the Rat." Extra exclusive to the Blu-ray include "Gusteau's Gourmet Game" and a "Cine-Explore" mode, which Disney is dubbing the "ultimate behind-the-scenes innovative experience."
