About Spider-Man™ 3
Columbia Pictures’ Spider-Man™ 3 reunites the cast and filmmakers from the first two blockbuster adventures for a web of excitement that transports worldwide audiences to thrilling new heights. In Spider-Man™ 3, based on the legendary Marvel Comics series, Peter Parker has finally managed to strike a balance between his devotion to M.J. and his duties as a superhero. But there is a storm brewing on the horizon. When his Spider-Man suit suddenly changes, turning jet-black and enhancing his powers, it transforms Peter as well. Under the influence of the suit, Peter becomes prideful and overconfident and he begins to neglect the ones he cares about the most. As two of the most-feared villains yet, Sandman and Venom, gather unparalleled power and a thirst for retribution, Peter’s greatest battle is the one within himself. Spider-Man will need to rediscover the compassion that makes him who he is: a hero. Columbia Pictures Presents A Marvel Studios/Laura Ziskin Production Spider-Man™ 3 starring Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Thomas Haden Church, Topher Grace, Bryce Dallas Howard, James Cromwell, Rosemary Harris, and J.K. Groan. That's a pretty large price tag for the SE of Spidey 3. I could be wrong, but I believe this also marks the first time Sony's decided to release single disc and 2-disc versions of a film on the same day. Usually, they've been pretty good about releasing relatively decent 2-disc versions at first and then double dipping in the future (usually to tie into a sequel, etc.).
"Here's looking at you, kid."

The worst part is that since there's two releases, the single disc will get a big discount and the two disc will be about $30. I thought Spider-Man 3 was OK but I'll probably just go with the one disc.

Can someone tell me if the Spider-Man: The High-Definition Trilogy (Blu-Ray) will have the Spider-Man 3 one disc or 2 disc DVD?

I probably liked Spidey 3 best of all 3 too. It just seems like the most Sam Raimi-ish of the set, and that's what I really want to see when a particular director tackles a certain franchise or story. I want to see that particular director's take. The previous 2 Spidey's were good but IMO the third one opened things up a bit, played it loose, dark, creepy, funny and in the end more satisfying.

I bet if Sam had made the first two movies like this last one a lot of people wouldn't be complaining about the sudden shift or seemingly meaningless plot points. =/

I think it was arguably better than the first but certainly inferior to the second. In any case, I think the amount of hatred among the internet fanboys is absolutely insane. Even if it is the worst movie in the trilogy (and I don't think it is) it isn't by far. It's certainly not in the league of "Superman III", "Return of the Jedi", "The Godfather Part III" and "Batman Forever" when it comes to being monumentally inferior to its two predecessors.
Don't you ever, EVER compare me to "Family Guy," you hear me Kyle? Compare me to "Family Guy" again and so help me, I will kill you where you stand!

Do you have any idea what it's like? Everywhere I go: "Hey Cartman you must like 'Family Guy,' right?" "Hey, your sense of humor reminds me of...

Ugh. Most of these 2-disc releases which hit the same date as a 1-disc release usually go for about $22.99. But that MSRP looks like it might push that envelope quite a bit.

AND, I won't be able to get a Spidey 3 "SuperBit" to sit next to Spideys 1 & 2? Nor DTS? Posted Image

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself.Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

The one scene, actually the one SHOT, that sold me on Spiderman 3 was halfway in when he's dressed as Spidey minus the mask. He's standing in his pitiful little apartment, leaning against the wall and looking tired, miserable and stressed listening to the radio transmissions coming in from the police of all the incidents taking place, trying to decide what to respond to but too out of it to really care.

THAT is refreshing. I've never seen that one particular moment in the life of superhero portrayed on film.

Sure I've seen complicated, stressed-out superheros in movies before. But that one brief moment in Spidey 3 really conveys the weight of the world that's on Peter Parker's shoulders.

I liked a lot about the movie(did Venom really need an entire movie to itself? I don't think so. Fit perfectly within the story here IMO), but the actual humanization of Peter Parker was very refreshing. And that goes for his goofy scenes of dancing along the street as well.
