Awesome news! I've been waiting a long time for this film to finally see a release. I have to say it's somewhat shocking that they'd also put out a BD and HD release consider how long it took for the SD version.

Wow another Spielberg title to go High Def even though it's a 1/4 of a film. So much for the Spielberg on HD embargo.
On a side note - There's info floating around the net that Poltergeist will be streeting this same day on BD/HD. I can't pinpoint an official source announcement though.

I found a book called Fly By Night by Steve Chain which is all about the helicopter crash in Landis' segment of the movie. I am about halfway through and it provides a lot of detail on what happened, the investigations that occurred after and the court case. Interesting read and so far my conclusion is that Landis and others were very reckless not just in TZ but in the past.
