This is why you don't do dumb things because they are on the internets.

I've always liked this one.. True story,  after I lost someone close to me,  I'd regularly watch this to cheer me up.  Low brow I know,  but It'd always put a smile on my face:http://www.youtube.c...h?v=BzjLlqIuVhI

These two kill me.

Completely NSFW.  Good stuff all the way through, but the back and forth with Triump the Comic Dog (starting about 3:30) KILLS.

Just nuts..

Now that reminds me of some web series I used to watch about Star Wars fans in a supermarket.  I'll have to try to figure out what that was.

Edit two seconds later: didn't take long.  Chad Vader.  Forgot it even existed.

Tonight, to take my mind off a horrible event that happened elsewhere this evening, this is priceless to recently discover.

Hooooooly Cow!

I think the lore to go with that play, Jack, is that after they finally got the field cleared the umpires snuck Chambliss back out on the field to touch home plate.

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself.Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

Yes, indeed, they did bring him back later.   They understood that the rule about failing to touch the plate didn't apply in this case.

This call is a million times better than the more famous one from ABC's national telecast in which Keith Jackson's attempt to call it was stepped on by Howard Cosell in mid-flight whereupon Howard just couldn't stop yapping.      ABC also had a bad camera angle of the play using the high above home plate shot and also missed that great isolated replay of Chambliss doing a Carlton Fisk and throwing his arms up in triumph.     It's too bad that this is the only part of the telecast unfortuantely that still exists in the WPIX vault.

I stumbled upon this clip tonight.

Pure gold.

One of my all-time favorite songs:  This Could Be the Start of Something Big (written by Steve Allen).

Performed here in 1958 by Steve Allen, Ann Sothern, Steve Lawrence & Eydie Gorme...and Dinah Shore.

Enjoy!

Came across this one today, a bunch of dance clips from movies set to "Safety Dance".

As far as I'm concerned, it's a damned shame that a field as potentially dynamic and vital as journalism should be overrun with dullards, bums, and hacks, hag-ridden with myopia, apathy, and complacence, and generally stuck in a bog of stagnant mediocrity. - Hunter S. Thompson, 1958, from cover letter he wrote for a newspaper job.
