I look at 3 popular iPhone cases and pick the one that clearly rises as the best!

I am a bit bothered that I actually had to buy 3 cases for my
iPhone until I found the one that I liked the best. The
problem was, the first two were just so damn awful that the third
time actually became the charm.

Here are the tests of what I presume are the three most popular
iPhone cases available....

I actually picked up this Case Mate at the time I purchased my iPhone.
After all, it was a convenience for me to purchase the case that was on
display. Furthermore, the sales guy was touting the fact that these were
"Apple quality[/img] for believing a salesman as this case proved to be underwhelming.

Though the Case Mate stands as a sturdy leather housing for the iPhone,
it is actually the belt clip that becomes the problem. I have had many
instances where the round bolt that connects the clip to the case loosens
and falls off. I also don't like the fact that the front of the case is open
leaving the iPhone display unprotected.

What a cluster "F[/img]iSee case is. Judging from the rave reviews
from iPod users who own their cases, I thought this would be the best
case of the bunch. Turns out to be the worst. This case arrives
as a jigsaw puzzle whereas you need to fit the iPhone into this acrylic
shell that snaps together and then inserts in and out of a plastic holster.
The case certainly seems to be the best protection for your iPhone if it
slips to the ground. The problems begin when you try to remove the
iPhone from this monstrosity every time you need to place it on the
dock for charging or synching. It took an unbelievable amount of effort
to snap the case open. Absolutely hate this case.

You know, I should have gone with my gut instincts and bought the
Marware CEO sleeve right from the start. For me, it looked to be
the most handsome case of the bunch. Not only was it thin and sleek,
but it offered full protection for the iPhone in that the display cover
was not exposed.

The biggest surprise came when upon receiving this case, I opened it
up to find that Malware includes a protective film cover for the iPhone
screen. It can be applied with very little effort, leaves no bubbles, and
actually produces a lot less surface smudging than the glass. I really
loved the fact that something like this was included with the case as
people have been buying these film protectors separately.

As you can see the MARWARE case clearly rose above all others
as being the best case for my purposes. The only downside I see to these
cases is the rather short clips that are included with them. I generally
prefer longer-length clips as they are more likely not to fall off the waist.
Only the iSee comes with a very long clip. Unfortunately, that
was also the worst rated of all the cases I reviewed.

Let me add one more case here for your consideration...

The Fortte cases are perhaps the best cases you can buy.

I did not include a review here because I have yet to order mine.
Eventually I will have a case custom made for my iPhone that includes
my name and the HTF logo. I bought one of these cases for my
Blackberry and they really are a cut above the rest. If you want to
go the extra mile, the Fortte cases are probably the absolute best
bang for the buck.

Ron,

Is the belt clip on the Marware CEO sleeve removable?

Thanks,
Doug

Why did you have to buy ALL of the cases? You did not have access to them before buying?

And then when I feel so stuffed I can't eat anymore, I just use the restroom! And then I CAN eat more!

Doug,

Yes, the clip on the Marware is removable. Their site has many other
varieties of iPhone cases if you like their style.

Christ,

Had no access to any of the cases before buying. The Case Mate was
purchased from the AT&T store, sealed. The other two are available
mail-order only.

What custom clip? You mean the Fortte? Yes, by the time you
put a logo and personalize, it does come close to that amount.

I'm planning to wait a few months before possibly ordering one.

Ron,

I've read other reports of the stud coming loose on the back of the Case-Mate Signature Leather Case. But look what Case-Mate is releasing on July 25:

This belt clip/holster works in conjunction with the Signature Leather Case to store the iPhone and case on your belt with the screen facing inward.

I am seriously considering this combo when the Signature iPhone Holster becomes available.

Mark,

I have to say, that looks to be a really nice case.

Certainly one to consider amongst this lineup.
