HD-DVD desperately NEEDS more CE manufacturer support.
Hopefully impresssive sales of the A2 will inspire others to follow suit.

I am interested to know what's 'tweaked' about this player? 'Tis a fugly looking one though.

I don't now. I will have to see it first (not a picture, but in person). Of the currently sold players I think the Sony takes the cake for the fugliest (is that a word ) player on the market (old model. I have yet to see the new Sony), and the Pioneer as the best looking player. Just my opinion. Never much cared for the George Forman fryer look of the PS3, although it is shinny.

You may be thinking of the Pioneer, and I'm not even sure it's true of that. But I remember when people suggested that.
