Optical cable issue

I'm connecting my PS2 game to my receiver. I got an digital optical cable for the sound. I cannot figure out how to open the port to connect the cable. Can someone please help! Thanks

I believe that you just push the connector in. The "door" opens inward.

Turns out the moron at The Source by Circuit City sold me the wrong cord. I went to a gaming store next door and bought the right one. The guy at the Source barely said a word when he gave my money back.
