Infocus 4805 or something else? (1 Viewer)

I'm helping my Dad select a projector for use at a family cabin. The projector will be ceiling mounted, and used exclusively for watching standard definition DVDs. It will never be used for HD or broadcast TV (HD or standard).

I've recommended that he go with a refurbished Infocus 4805, which seems like it would be a great fit for his needs (widescreen 480p resolution, high contrast ratio, low black level for HT, low price). Is there anything else in this price range of about $500 refurbished that I should also be considering?

Thanks!

4805 is perfect for this, but $500 is steep for a refurb...try Dorian's suggestion.
If the sources expand a bit, HD sources do look fantastic over it.

Thanks All! I went ahead and ordered it on clearance at Amazon. I think we'll be very happy with this.

Had a 4805 for a couple of years...had to get rid of it because of low WAF.
If you can get one for $400, it is an absolute STEAL.
