Another "BD only" movie gets it's release on HD DVD in Europe on 05/11.

If only we knew who was distributing Yari Film Group products in Europe; I'd love to get both The Prestige and The Illusionist on HD DVD and do a double feature.

That sucks, I bought the SD version of the movie because I only have an HD-DVD player. I wish I had known about this a while ago.

Maybe the HD-DVD release can cut out the last 20 mins of the movie and save it? The ending of this movie killed it more than an ending of any movie ever.

The HD-DVD will have non sucking branching so that the last 20 mins download a decent ending from the internet and seamlessly plays it for you.

BTW, although it's listed at Eur 33.99 on Amzon Germany, it's "only" Eur 29.99 on the French Amazon.
I believe it's the same version (perhaps an occasional difference in the audio tracks).
