I must have either downloaded something or perhaps played
around with a system program that has changed the way my
windows open when browsing through my Mac file structure.

I could have sworn that as a system default, I stay within
a single window each time I browse through the Mac file
structure.

But now, each time I browse through my system folders
(Documents -> HTF Documents -> Member list) a new
window opens up. By the time I get to where I want to be
I have multiple windows open on my desktop.

I am certain I can fix this in the User Control Panel, but
would appreciate more precise directions, please.

Thank You

Go to Finder -> Preferences and de-select "Always open folders in a new window"

You go to Finder by clicking on the blue Happy Mac icon, or your desktop.

Steve,

Something is whacky on my system -- probably from installing
a bunch of utilities over the past few days such as Onyx,
XFolders
and xPad.

I went into FINDER and "always open folders in a new window"
is unchecked. Yet, every time I open a new file, a window flies
open in another corner of the screen.

It's beginning to piss me off!
