directed by Harold Ramis (Bedazzled), this hilarious comedy about a
weatherman trapped in his own personal time warp on the worst day of his
life
stars Bill Murray (Charlie's Angels), Andie MacDowell (Town & Country),
Chris
Elliott (Osmosis Jones), Stephen Tobolowsky (Freddy Got Fingered) and
Brian
Doyle-Murray (Bedazzled).


SYNOPSIS
Bill Murray is at his wry, wisecracking best in this riotous romantic
comedy about
a weatherman caught in a personal time warp on the worst day of his
life.
Teamed with a relentlessly cheerful producer (Andie MacDowell) and a
smart-
aleck cameraman (Chris Elliott), TV weatherman Phil Connors (Bill
Murray) is
sent to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, to cover the annual Groundhog Day
festivities. But on his way out of town, Phil is caught in a giant
blizzard that he
failed to predict and finds himself stuck in small-town hell. Just when
things
couldn't get worse, they do; Phil wakes the next morning to find it
Groundhog
Day all over again... and again... and again.

This is the best they could come up with?? I assume they just use their latest movie, but in this case it might not have been so wise.

Can't wait for this disc though!

Graeme, those credits are there to further enhance the quality of this movie.Posted Image The actors just happened to reach their zenith in this film.

Although I already have the initial dvd release, I am looking forward to picking up this version as well. One of my all-time favorite comedies. I casually purchased a ticket for this movie during its theatrical release and was surprised to find this hidden gem. While I was never a fan of any of the actors in their previous work, somehow everything coalesced wonderfully in this movie.
