THE ACADEMY AWARD® WINNING DOCUMENTARY
MAKES ITS LONG AWAITED HIGH DEFINITION DEBUT

MARCH OF THE PENGUINS
"Amazing!" Roger Ebert / EBERT & ROEPER

Timed to Release March 27 with Happy Feet

Now Available on HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc
from Warner Home Video

Burbank, California (January 29, 2007) – On March 27, the Academy Award® winning film March of the Penguins (Best Documentary, Features 2006) will make its high definition debut from Warner Home Video. Narrated by Oscar®-winning actor Morgan Freeman, the film will make its simultaneous debut on both HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc and will sell for $28.99 SRP. Timed to coincide with the release of Warner Home Video’s Happy Feet (which will be released in three formats simultaneously: SD DVD, HD DVD/SD Combo and Blu-ray Disc), March of the Penguins is adored by critics nationwide, and has been heralded as “Astonishing!” (Newsweek), “Riveting” (The New York Times), “Unbelievable!” (The New York Observer).

All bonus materials on the Standard Definition version will be included on the high definition versions.

March of the Penguins is an amazing, awe-inspiring, true-life tale touched with humor and alive with thrills for all ages. Breathtaking photography captures the transcendent beauty and staggering you-are-there drama of devoted parent penguins who, in the face of the fierce polar winter, take turns guarding their egg and trekking to the ocean in search of food. Predators hunt them, storms lash them. But the safety of their adorable, fuzzy chicks makes it all worthwhile. So follow the leader…to adventure!

Warner Home Video HD DVDs and Blu-ray Discs offer resolution six times higher than standard definition DVDs, as well as extraordinarily vibrant contrast and color and beautifully crisp sound. The new formats also provide a higher level of interactivity, with instant access to extra features via a seamless menu-bar where viewers can enjoy features without leaving or interrupting the film.

This was perhaps one of the best nature documentaries I have ever seen. It is a natural partner for the movie Happy Feet and it just so happens that I watched the dvd of it just last week.
